Tractor Accident in Spring Hill Missouri Injurs Four Children

An innocent night of family fun took a turn for the worse on Friday, June 5th, injuring four children.  A witness to the accident stated that the family was taking a ride, pulling a trailer full of kids behind a tractor.  The incident occurred on South Green Road near Spring Hill, KS.

Apparently, the tractor rolled backwards which caused the children to be thrown from the trailer.  The witness, Greg Lancellotti, said the trailer ran completely over the children.  As the children were left in the middle of the road, the tractor kept rolling down the hill.

According to officials, two adults and one child were riding the tractor.  The driver of the tractor attempted to change gears while going up an incline on the paved road.  The tractor then rolled backward, jackknifing back on to the top of the trailer.

All of the children injured in the accident were less than 10 years old.  They were taken to an area hospital by ambulance, where two were treated for minor injuries and two were said to be injured more severely.
